Text slide
Learn how to create a variable web-to-print text that appears like it’s coming from the background simulating a sliding shape with its motion.

Before you start
- Add a page frame (Layout/Page Setup/Add Page Frame). This will create a rectangular shape with the exact same size as the page size of your template and place it as a bottom layer.
- Input the dummy text and turn it into variable web-to-print field.
In a nutshell, we’re going to blend two differently sized copies of the same text frame together and add a transparency effect to the blending group.
Blending dynamic imaging fields
Change the font size of the text frames so that the bottom one is bigger and the top one.
As you can see, the blending is too fragmented at the moment. To make it seamless we need to add more blending steps. You can use these blending settings as a reference.

Transparency
Let’s make the background (origin) text frame be more visible and readable.
Select the blending group by clicking somewhere on the slide, activate CorelDRAW Transparency Tool and assign a 90% uniform transparency to it with the Normal transparency operation.

All done!
Our web-to-print software can handle this effect easily! Upload the template into your catalog and test it. This is a dynamic imaging template but the technique can be applied to web-to-print templates as well.
