FAQ about common CorelDARW problems, bugs and workarounds.
CorelDRAW freezes or pops an error on welding objects
- Try welding or Combining the objects one at a time by adding a new object to the welded curve as you go along.
- Try reducing the nodes in the object.
An object cannot be selected as a PowerClip container
- The object you are trying to select has effects applied to it. Remove the effects and select again.
- The object you are trying to place inside the PowerClip has effects applied to it. Remove the effects, place inside the PowerClip, enter Edit Contents in the PowerClip group and re-apply the effects
CorelDRAW doesn’t allow certain combination of effects
Multiply the base object, apply one effect to each, stack and layer. A bit more work, but the desired result can usually be achieved. For example, extrusion, bevel and PowerClip in one text frame.
