The only difficult part of the process of extending WordPress is getting this first plugin installed.

Preparations

Find the email with access details sent to you by the hosting company. It should have address of the FTP server, your login and password.

• Open your FTP client (or Internet Explorer or just Windows Explorer)
• Enter the FTP address and enter your login and password when prompted.

OneClickInstaller plugin

This plugin makes installing themes and plugins a breeze.

You can find and download the plugin from its WordPress page.

Steps

1. Download the plugin to your hard drive
2. Unzip
3. Copy it to /wp-content/plugins/ folder using FTP.
4. Login to the admin area of your site and click on Plugins link at the top-right corner.
5. Click on Activate on the row with OneClickInstaller

The installer will be located on Dashboard page after activation.
