Public access with registration

24/11/2008

Web to print catalogs can be open for the public, but require registration to place an order. Users can see templates and update previews without registering, but they do have to provide a valid email. Otherwise it is the same as public access mode.

Placing an order

Users have to input their email address twice. The web-to-print system dispatches an email to the specified address with a confirmation link. In the meantime, the user can proceed with placing the order.

When the email arrives the user is expected to click on the link to confirm the email address. It is possible the user may never click on the link and remain unconfirmed. Contacting the user may be a good idea in this case.
