Text with semi-transparent fill in a curve
Learn how to create the illusion of a tattooed text using a few simple tricks that include playing arround with the text object’s transparency and the envelope tool.
Before you start
- Import the image that you will use as background.
- Input the dummy text, set it’s horizontal alignment and turn it into a variable web-to-print field.
Shape the text

Select the text object and click on the Interactive Envelope Tool from the tool box menu./

Notice the frame that is formed arround the text object? Drag its nodes till you achieve the desired perspective effect.

The result should be something similar to this.
Transparency
/

Select the text object and click on the Interactive Transparency Tool from the tool box on the left.

/
Set the Transparency Type to “Uniform” and the Transaprency Operation to “Multiply“.
Note. You can also set the Transparency Operation to any other option that you think works better in your web-to-print template.
Adjust the level of transparency till you achieve the desired result.
