Web-to-print express demo installation on Magento

Want to quickly try our web-to-print extension for Magento in your online store? Follow these express installation steps and end up with a web-to-print enabled Magento store connected to a demo ZetaPrints account.

1. Install the web-to-print extension

Installing the extension is identical as with any other Magento extension. Login to your Magento administration panel and navigate to System / Magento Connect / Magento Connect Manager.

Get the extension installation key from Magento’s web-to-print extension page. Paste the installation key in the corresponding field of Magento Connect Manager and hit Install.

2. Import web-to-print data

Our web-to-print extension is setup to work out of the box with a demo ZetaPrints account so that you can populate your store with templates and try the extension even before setting up your own web-to-print portal. This step actually synchronizes the templates from the demo ZetaPrints account with your Magento store.

Web-to-print data is imported by running the “ZetaPrints template synchronization” profile.

Navigate to System > Import/Export > Dataflow – Advance Profiles, select ZetaPrints templates synchronization profile and click on Run Profile tab on the left. Next click Run Profile in Popup button. It will initiate a data importing process which may take several minutes.

3. Create web-to-print categories

At ZetaPrints end, templates are grouped in catalogs. During this step, the extension will automatically create Magento categories for all of the web-to-print portal catalogs in the demo account.

This is done by running the “ZetaPrints catalogues creation” profile. Navigate to System > Import/Export > Dataflow – Advance Profiles and run the ZetaPrints catalogues creation profile.

4. Create web-to-print products

Now it’s time to create Magento products for all the imported templates and arrange them in their categories. This is also an automated process that only requires running a profile.

Navigate to System > Import/Export > Dataflow – Advance Profiles and run the ZetaPrints simple products creation profile.

5. Try it as a customer

You are all set! Navigate to the front end of your store and play around with your new web-to-print products.

Note. Stores with multiple store views need an additional step to enable the products in the front end.
